1. Scope

These terms govern the use of easy-quiz.ai. The service provides AI-powered quiz generation, optional user accounts, and multiplayer quiz rooms.

2. Service

We provide an AI-powered quiz generator with multiple AI models and optional real-time multiplayer rooms. You can use many features as a guest; optional registration unlocks account-specific features (e.g. history) and is required for paid plans.

Plans: We offer a Free tier (logged-in), Premium, and Scholar with different daily generation limits, quiz types, maximum questions per quiz, private room creation, and access to certain AI models. Details are described on our Pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.

Available models include free-tier models (e.g. Gemini 3.5 Flash, GPT-5.5 Mini, Claude Haiku 4.5, Mistral Medium) and additional models for subscribers (e.g. Gemini 3.1 Pro, Claude Sonnet 5, ChatGPT 5.5, Mistral Large). Features may change or improve over time.

3. Accounts

Optional accounts: You can create an account (e.g. email/password or Google) via our authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

You remain responsible for any content you upload, prompts you submit, and display names you use in rooms. Guests can use the service without an account within the limits applicable to guest usage.

4. AI Content & Your Responsibility

Important:

• You are fully responsible for all AI-generated quiz content
• Carefully review all content before use
• Use only lawful, non-infringing material as input
• AI can make mistakes - you bear the risk
• We provide no guarantee for success or accuracy of content
• We may restrict functions in case of misuse

5. Prohibited Use

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the platform:

• Discriminatory, offensive, hateful, or illegal content in quiz materials
• Copyright violations or plagiarism in uploaded documents
• Content that violates applicable law
• Malicious or harmful content intended to damage the service

5.2 Prohibited Activities

• Payment fraud or attempts to bypass security
• Reverse engineering, hacking attempts, or unauthorized access
• Automated access outside of intended functions
• Resale or commercial use without explicit permission
• Use of unlawful or third-party content without rights
• Excessive use that may impact service availability for others
• Creating inappropriate quiz room names or content

5.3 Consequences

Violations of these provisions may result in the following measures:

• Warning and request to cease
• Temporary or permanent service restrictions
• Legal action for serious violations
• Reporting to relevant authorities for illegal activities

7. Subscriptions & payment

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card data on our servers. Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation follow the checkout flow and Stripe's applicable terms; statutory consumer rights remain unaffected where applicable.

Statutory consumer rights apply where applicable.

9. Warranty and Liability

Functionality is provided to the best of our knowledge and belief, but without guarantee. A guarantee for complete availability, error-free operation, or suitability for specific purposes cannot be assumed.

The provider's liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, unless it involves the violation of essential contractual obligations or damages from injury to life, body, or health.

The provider is particularly not liable for:

• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated quiz content
• Damages from faulty or unsuitable quiz materials
• Temporary failures or technical disruptions
• Data loss during updates or system changes
• Lost profits or indirect damages

10. Data Protection

We process personal data only as described in our Privacy Policy (including optional accounts, payments, and technical security data).

11. Availability & Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We strive for high availability but offer no guarantees.

12. Changes to Terms

We may adjust these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Final Provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Jurisdiction is Deggendorf, Germany, to the extent legally permissible.

Should individual provisions of these terms of service be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Invalid provisions will be replaced by legally effective regulations that come closest to the economic purpose.
